Hugo Ekitike to Chelsea?
According to RMC Sport, Chelsea entered advanced discussions to recruit Ekitike, the French striker being identified as a key target as the summer transfer window approaches. However, Chelsea is not the only English club to monitor the situation of Ekitike. Arsenal and Liverpool also inquired and would have had preliminary discussions with Frankfurt. Nevertheless, the presence of Chelsea recruiters during the Ekitike matches, especially during their trip to Frankfurt for the last Bundesliga match against SC Friborg, indicates that the Blues position themselves as serious suitors.
Blues position themselves as serious contenders for Ekitike
The London west club would have reduced its offensive targets to three names: Ekitike, Benjamin Sesko (RB Leipzig) and Victor Osimhen (Naples). Among these three players, Ekitike is considered the most compatible with the long -term vision of Chelsea: young, technically efficient and capable of leading a fluid offensive line.
Chelsea is currently in good position to find the Champions League next season. Fifth in the Premier League ranking, the Blues master their destiny and need a victory against Nottingham Forest on Sunday to confirm their qualification.
