There was no huge sporting issue, between a saved team and another already condemned. But this Sunday, May 18 was a special day for Everton fans, for the very last Toffees meeting in Goodison Park.
David Moyes' men pleased their supporters, with a victory won under the sun against Southampton (2-0). It was Iliman Ndiaye who scored the two goals of his team (6th, 45th+2), and who thus marks the history of his club. For his first full season in the Premier League, the former Marseille Olympique player has already scored 9 goals, the best total of the toftes ahead of Beto (8 goals).
Installed in Goodison Park since 1982, Everton will move next season in the brand new Hill Dickinson Stadium, an enclosure built on the Docks, on the banks of the Mersey, and which will be able to accommodate 52,888 spectators. It is the female section of the club that will take up residence at Goodison Park.
