A choice that does not pass! While no injured player from FC Barcelona was supposed to travel to Milan for the semi-final of the Champions League against Inter, Jules Koundé took everyone by joining Italy. The French defender, convalescence, wanted to support his teammates from the stands of San Siro, alongside notably Joao Félix.
Apparently the choices of his coach Hansi Flick, especially at the end of the game, displeased international tricolor. According to the Podcast Barça Reserve of Catalunya Ràdio, Koundé, sitting not far from Joao Félix, would have expressed his misunderstanding about the late entrance to Robert Lewandowski on the ground. The Pole returned from a muscle injury, a choice he would have criticized.
Still according to the same source, Jules Koundé would have dropped, faced with this decision: “I don't know why Lewandowski plays, he shouldn't be on the ground given his condition”. Words slipped in a low voice in the stands, but captured and reported by the Catalan media. For the Frenchman, his teammate was not yet able to play.

Time has proven Koundé right. The entrance to the Polish striker did not weigh on the match. Aligned in the last minutes of regulation time, Lewandowski hardly touched the ball and failed to create a single clear goal during the entire extension.
As a result, the Flick's plan failed: Inter quickly equalized, before completely overturning Barça in overtime (4-3 AP). A frustrating scenario for the Blaugrana who denounce a plot.
