Arrived free of any commitment from Manchester City in this off-season, the 32-year-old German international was recently part of the brilliant Blaugrana victory over Real Madrid in preparation for the Dallas side (3-0).

However, the interested party is not yet guaranteed to play this season with the Catalans. According to public TV channel TV3, the ex-Cityzen’s contract is still not registered with La Liga. This is also valid for the other recruits, Oriol Romeu and Inigo Martinez.
