France-Portugal live on the L'Equipe channel

The L'Equipe channel will broadcast the matches of the French U17 team at the Euro in this category, from May 19, with a new confrontation against Portugal.

One year after Euro 2024 and a poor quarter-final concluded in penalty shootout (0-0, 5-3 TAB), the French team and Portugal can again meet in the final or in the match for the third place in the Nations League, in a month. The Blues of Didier Deschamps face Spain in the semi-finals on Thursday, June 5 in Stuttgart, while Germany-Portugal is the first shock the day before.

France-Portugal is also one of the posters of the first round of Euro U17 in two weeks in Albania. The tricolor U17 challenges the Seleçao for the fourth euro in a row, after a semi-final in 2022 and in the group phase of the 2023 and 2024 editions. This will be followed on the Channel L'Equipe, which holds the rights of the competition.

Installed in group A, the Blueberries of Lionel Rouxel will begin against Germany, on May 19 in Elbasan, then will face Portugal three days later, before challenging the host country, Albania, May 25. For a potential semi-final on Thursday, May 29 and a possible final on Sunday June 1 in Tirana. The French U17 team won the Euro in its three -time category, in 2004, 2014 and 2022.

The tricolor coach Lionel Rouxel (former Guingamp player, coach of the youth selections since 2015) unveiled his group of 20 players for the competition. Djylian N'Guessan is the nugget of this generation. He scored in the three qualification matches in March (4-0 against Finland, 4-1 against Denmark, 5-1 against Greece). The latter has just been established at the forefront of the AS Saint-Etienne attack due to the Lucas Stassin package against Monaco last weekend.
