Leonardo Balerdi will find the green rectangle. Absent in the last three games of Olympique de Marseille against Toulouse (3-2), Monaco (0-3) and Montpellier (5-1) due to a sprain from the internal lateral ligament of the left knee suffered against Reims (1-3), on March 29, the Argentinian central defender was summoned for the reception of the Brest stadium this Sunday.

Roberto de Zerbi can therefore count on his captain three days again from the end of the championship. A news that delights OM, while this injury raised fears a premature end of the season for Balerdi.

A playing time that does not deceive

Since the start of this 2024-25 season, Balerdi has made 25 appearances, all as a holder, in the Marseille jersey. The native of María Marta Rosa disputed 2109 minutes and is one of the seven players most used by De Zerbi, with Gerónimo Rulli, Mason Greenwood, Luis Henrique, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Adrien Rabiot and Amir Murillo.
