Javier Tebas, the new provocation

The president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, was not worried about a possible suspension following a complaint filed by Real Madrid for violation of confidentiality.

He also reacted firmly, as usual, to the complaints of Hansi Flick concerning the calendar and the decision to maintain Dani Olmo and Pau Victor registered this season.

The Merengues filed a complaint with the Administrative Sports Tribunal (TAD), the former president of the High Sport Committee, Miguel Angel Galan, saying that he was likely to be suspended if Tebas was found guilty by the TAD. However, Tebas was not worried about it, as he maintained during a Liga event.

“No, that doesn't worry me. I don't think I will be sanctioned. I am more concerned with the way complaints are filed with the TAD. Reports of erroneous meetings, and other elements of the same kind »suggesting dissatisfaction with the institution itself.

Tebas still causes real

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Spanish football cleavage, FC Barcelona coach Hansi Flick qualified the “joke” liga calendar and said he wanted to discuss the reasons why his team had had less time to prepare for the Champions League match. An idea to which Tebas is open.

“There is no discriminatory policy. We manage a competition, not the interests of a club or another. With this accumulation of matches, some teams could be more tired. However, Flick, which has been very severe, should be reminded to complain to UEFA. Why are national leagues still responsible? Why is he not complaining with UEFA? Why doesn't UEFA report the two games on Wednesday? We must defend the 20 first division clubs and the 22 of second division. We have to do what is best for everyone. There is another competition organized by UEFA, and they can ask. We are ready to explain to them what they want, to give them reasons, to show them how the calendars are established if they wish. »»

Tebas said that it was up to Barcelona to decide if it would return to its salary ceiling this summer, and stressed that the decision to remove the rental of VIP seats from its accounts was a listener, not the league. La Liga also firmly opposed Barcelona in the Olmo and Victor licenses, appealing the CSD decision before the litigation court.

“This is based on a new fact: the licenses have not been canceled. According to the CSD, they were maintained. Therefore, according to the CSD, Di Stefano is still under license with Real Madrid. ”

He also admitted his concern about the state of television rights income, again citing hacking as a problem that the liga must repress.

Tebas is addressed to the press.

“” Income has increased thanks to match days and advertisements. Audiovisual income stagnates. The impact of the Club World Cup and the new Champions League will be felt in the next seasons. These new formats penalize the national championships. In Italy, the Champions League has garnered 100 million euros in additional income, and the Serie A lost around 125 million euros in income.

I'm still worried. We have lost income in Southeast Asia. Not only because of the Champions League, but also because of hacking. UEFA receives more income, and the national championships lose income potential. The Belgian championship has lost 20 %. I am worried. In Spain, we still have two years of contracts. »»
