The suspense is decidedly unbearable at the end of the season on the side of Serie A. Three days after the defeat in extremis conceded by Inter Milan on the Bologna field (1-0), Juventus has missed the mark too. The stake was not the same for the “old lady” who struggles to snatch a qualifying place for the Champions League. While it had the opportunity to recover fourth place in the ranking, Juve went to bow on the side of Parma, to the fight for maintenance (1-0).
The men of Igor Tudor may have the ball most of the time (66% possession), they were far too imprecise in front of the opposing cage (two shots on sixteen attempts). On the Parmesan side, it was therefore enough for the only goal scored just before the break by Mateo Pellegrino to win (1-0, 45th+1). An extremely important victory in the maintenance race, especially since Parma has a very complicated calendar which presents itself with the Lazio, Naples or Atalanta on the program.
Fiorentina replaces
This defeat leaves Juventus in fifth place, now under the great threat of a Lazio Rome who went to win at the same time on the side of Genoa. Well helped by the direct red received from the twenty-second minute of play by Sebastian Otoa, the Romans opened the scoring thanks to Valentin Castellanos (0-1, 32nd), before doubling the bet shortly after the time of play on a goal from Boulaye Dia (0-2, 65th).
