A few signs reinforce the hypothesis of seeing the France team and its coach Hervé Renard achieve the feat of the 2023 World Cup.

A Hervé Renard effect? This is the formula used when changing coaches during the season. Successor to Corinne Deacon following a mutiny organized by a few executive players last February, the Savoyard technician has already seen his work rewarded.

Les Bleues returned the image of a truly united team during the first round of the World Cup which is currently being played in Australia and New Zealand.

After a draw against Jamaica which had raised doubts (0-0), Hervé Renard restored order within the group before the match against Brazil. The tough talk from the French coach before this meeting on the second day perfectly illustrates the new state of mind in the locker room.

Victorious over Seleçao, 2-1, thanks to a header from Wendie Renard, the French women concluded the group stage with a spectacular victory over Panama, 6-3.

The opportunity to rotate with five changes in the starting lineup and during a third day with big sensations. We are of course thinking of the elimination of Germany on Thursday, after a draw against South Korea (1-1) despite 17 minutes of additional time!

This new surprise in the competition allows Morocco trained by the Frenchman Reynald Pedros to challenge France in the round of 16. The other emotion of this Thursday was the victory of the Atlas Lionesses over Colombia (1-0), synonymous with second place in group H.

The France team could take advantage of the Moroccan women’s feat to get to know a less difficult opponent than the one expected (Germany or Colombia), even if we have to remain cautious in front of the forecasts established on paper.

Like his counterpart Didier Deschamps at the Blues, Hervé Renard could benefit, in addition, from a certain success.
