Hansi Flick will have to turn his Barcelona attack in the coming weeks following the injury of Robert Lewandowski.

The Blaugrana comforted their advance at the top of the Liga thanks to a superb 4-3 victory at home against Celta Vigo this weekend, but the reverse of Lewandowski overshadowed the final result. Flick has confirmed that medical examinations would assess the state of health of the Polish star. He should miss three weeks of competition due to an injury to the hamstring.

This period will include the King Cup final against Real Madrid on April 26 and the two UEFA Champions League semi-finals against Inter Milan. Ferran Torres is expected to ensure direct Lewandowski coverage in the middle of the Flick attack, flanked by Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.

Lewandowski injured in the worst time

The Spanish international has scored 17 goals all competitions this season, despite his limited role, and Flick needs him more than ever. However, with as many upcoming matches, Ansu Fati could also be used, even if it seems about to leave the club this summer.

Ansu Fati will spring from the bench

A departure was offered to Fati before the 2024/25 season, but no agreement was reached because he sought to prove himself with Flick. His difficulties in regaining all his power and the lack of confidence of Flick towards the 22 -year -old contributed to a minimal impact in 2025.

Fati played four minutes as a replacement in Dortmund in the middle of the week, for his first appearance in four months, but he did not play against Celta Vigo.

Images of Dazn captured the anger of Fati, which was not introduced during this match, the furious striker having returned to the bench after being sent to the heating by Flick.

The loaded calendar means that Flick needs all the players available in his team and Fati could be entrusted with a role to cover Torres as a replacement for Lewandowski.
