Return of the Premier League. Arsenal occupied second place in the ranking with 63 points, 13 units from the leader Liverpool but with a 4 -point lead on Newcastle. Mikel Arteta's men displayed a solid assessment: 17 victories, 12 draws and only 3 defeats, for 57 goals scored and 27 collected. If they had recently dominated Real Madrid twice in the Champions League, the Gunners remained on two frustrating results in the league: a draw in Everton (1-1) and another against Brentford (1-1) at home. Ipswich, for his part, was pursuing a more contrasting dynamic. The players of Kieran McKenna had snatched a draw on the lawn of Chelsea (2-2), after bowing against Wolverhampton (1-2) and having beaten Bournemouth (1-2). An irregular sequence, but which testified to their ability to doubt the big displacements of the championship.
Arsenal opened the scoring in the first quarter of an hour, in the process of an opposing occasion. On a counterattack led to the right, Saka combined with Ødegaard, the surface of which found the English winger. The latter served Trossard at the penalty spot, which concluded by tackling (14th, 1-0). Merino then missed the goal from 2-0 to the 25th, before the Gunners doubled the launch a few minutes later. After a pass from White, Saka still made the difference on the right side. Its center on the ground was deflected in a heel by Merino, involuntarily, towards Martinelli, who easily finished in the second post (29th, 2-0). In the process, Ipswich found himself ten. Davis was expelled in the 33ᵉ minute for an ugly fault on Saka, a logical decision in view of the brutality of his intervention. Leandro Trossard then scored for Arsenal in the 70th minute, receiving the ball in the area and placing it at the center of the goal to make 3-0. After a fourth goal from Nwaneri, Arsenal left with the three points and thus reinforced his place as a dolphin.
Chelsea gets out on the wire, Manchester United beaten by Wolverhampton
For its part, Fulham quickly took the advantage against Chelsea thanks to a beautiful inspiration from Iwobi. After a high recovery of Sessegnon in the feet of James on the left side, the latter quickly served Iwobi in the axis. The Nigerian striker has controlled well before entering the surface and chaining with a crossed strike from the left at ground level, which came to stay in the small right net (1-0, 20th). The rest of the first period was marked by a physical commitment, but very few frank opportunities. The blues failed to worry Leno, cruelly missing near the opposing surface. But Chelsea managed to bounce back. Tyrique George received the ball outside the surface and, without hesitation, struck to the left corner of the goal. His attempt was unattainable for Bernd Leno, allowing Chelsea to equalize the 83rd (1-1).
But the match finally changed. Enzo Fernandez delivered a perfect pass to Pedro Neto, who sent a powerful strike from outside the surface. The ball finished its race in the roof of the goal, offering Chelsea a superb goal which allowed the Blues to overthrow the match and to leave with the three points (90th+3, 1-2). Chelsea remains 7th, and Fulham 9th. After overthrowing OL in the European Cup, Manchester United failed to extend its positive dynamics in the league, losing to Wolverhampton. In the 78th minute, Pablo Sarabia masterfully struck a free kick from outside the surface. His shot was perfectly executed, staying in the right skylight, out of the reach of Onana. The supporters praised this magnificent achievement, which allowed Wolverhampton to take the advantage in this meeting (0-1). Despite some opportunities, United did not find the flaw and let go of a precious home victory.
