Nkunku, the relapse?

Injured for several weeks in the left knee last season, Christopher Nkunku left his Chelsea partners prematurely on Wednesday with a low limp.

It’s a new adventure that has just started for Christopher Nkunku. After four seasons spent in the colors of RB Leipzig, the French international has just joined Chelsea FC, with whom he has signed up until June 2029. A long-term contract which had started well for Nkunku, who scored three times in of the four friendly matches in which he took part with the Blues. But for his fifth appearance which took place on Wednesday against Borussia Dortmund (1-1), he had to limp out.

And the image was hardly reassuring since it was with a large bandage surrounding his left knee that the former PSG limped out. All the more worrying since it was this same knee that prevented him from participating in the 2022 World Cup with the France team. Asked about the subject just after the meeting, his coach did not want to sound the alarm immediately, preferring to wait patiently for the doctors’ report.

Pochettino is waiting

I hope it’s not a big dealstill let go of Mauricio Pochettino in the face of the press, with a hint of concern. We hope he will be back in the group soon, but it will take a few days to assess his condition. Returning a little later to the lawn of the Orlando stadium where the match was being played, Christopher Nkunku looked rather smiling. He has ten days left to be fully back on his feet, before the first match of the new Premier League season, with a clash scheduled for August 13 against Liverpool.
