FC Barcelona is already preparing for next season, and central defense seems to be part of the sectors that Catalan management wishes to strengthen. According to information from ASJhon Lucumí is on the tablets of the Blaugrana stable. Two emissaries of the Catalan club were present to observe the defender of Bologna during the recent draw against Naples (1-1), during which the Colombian played his 100th match with the Italian club. At 26, Lucumí has established himself as a leader in Transalpine training and has greatly contributed to the club's historic qualification for the Champions League. Its regularity, its international experience (28 selections) and its market value estimated at 18 million euros would make it a target of choice for the Cules.
However, Piero Hincapié would remain at the top of the list, but Lucumí represents a credible alternative, especially since an informal contact with his agent would have taken place in December. Other contenders would however be on the lookout: Atlético de Madrid, as well as several stables of Serie A like Naples, Inter and AC Milan, or even AS Roma. Lucumí, for his part, would not hide his desire to leave in the event of a convincing offer.
