Lionel Messi has scored five goals in three appearances for Inter Miami, after scoring twice against Orlando City, including one with the right foot!

The seven-time Ballon d’Or had an immediate impact on David Beckham’s MLS franchise, as he found the net in each of his appearances.

After finding the net against Cruz Azul and Atlanta United, Messi once again shone in the League Cup round of 32 derby against Florida neighbors Orlando City. He opened the scoring in the seventh minute, taking advantage of a through ball from Rob Taylor, which allowed him to cushion the ball on his chest before scoring with a volley from close range.

Messi then handed Inter Miami a 3-1 victory in the 72nd minute by starting and finishing with fluid action. The Argentine proved his right leg could be used for more than just standing by converting another volley shot from six yards out.

Inter Miami is now qualified for the round of 16, where it will face FC Dallas. Messi will look to continue his remarkable streak of performances, which gives him hope of securing a first title in the United States.
