Olympique Lyonnais can say thank you to Rayan Cherki! Led 2-1 against Manchester United in the quarter-final first leg of the Europa League, the club was able to count on its 21-year-old attacking midfielder to snatch the draw (2-2) in the very last seconds of the game.
And yet, it was Olympique Lyonnais that had opened the scoring in the 25th minute on a direct free kick pulled by Thiago Almada before Lenny Yoro chores just before half for the Mancunians.
Dominators, the Lyonnais were surprised in the 88th minute by Joshua Zirkzee, head scorer on a center of Bruno Fernandes. While we were heading for a defeat for the Gones, Cherki came to set the record straight in stoppage.
