Last night, on the eve of the Champions League quarter -final first leg between PSG and Aston Villa, clashes broke out in the streets of Paris between supporters of the two clubs. Videos relayed on social networks show a scene of chaos filmed in front of a bar, where chairs are projected in all directions and punctuated blows. If no historical rivalry exists between the two teams, the tension has mounted a notch with the massive arrival of English fans, of which nearly 1,000 came without a ticket, announces the Daily Mail. The match was classified at 3 out of 5 by the national division to combat hooliganism, which believes that it represents risks of incidents.

Difficult to say if this brawl was premeditated or triggered by an isolated incident, but it indicates that the police are likely to have a lot to do to keep calm around the Parc des Princes this Wednesday evening. Let us still hope that the party is beautiful in Paris, and that the show is there, both on the field and in the stands.
