On Friday, we exclusively announced to you that Ousmane Dembélé was to become a Paris Saint-Germain player. Despite the many denials that have appeared in the press both in France and in Spain at the request of PSG and Barça, the Frenchman is heading for the capital where he will sign a 5-year contract as explained by us. The Ile-de-France residents have decided to lift the tricolor player’s 50 million euro clause. This was valid until July 31 inclusive.

Barça has it bad

Dembouz, he has 5 days to officially notify that he agrees to join Paris. What he wishes. Back to the wall, Barça had to accept the situation since the player could have been released from his contract if the Culés had said no to PSG. Another bad news for the residents of Camp Nou, they have to share part of the cake with the Dembélé clan. As explained on our site, the Frenchman and his agent Moussa Sissoko had negotiated to recover 25 million euros, or half of the clause, in the event of departure before August 1, 2023.

Which is the case since PSG officially went on the offensive before this fateful date. But the Blaugranas, who have it bad, do not hear it that way. They obviously have no intention of letting these 25 million euros pass under their noses. Mundo Deportivo and Marca explain that on the FCB side, it is believed that all the conditions that had to be met for Dembouz and his agent to get 50% of the sum were not met.

The Culés plan to appeal to justice

A member of the sports management of the Iberian club told brand : “this percentage was provided for in the contract if a series of situations occurred. This is going to end with a very interesting legal discussion. The 50 million are clear and now it remains to be seen how they are distributed. But a priori, the Dembélé clan is in its right. To prevent this from ending up in court, brand explains that a negotiation with PSG would be the solution.

This would allow Barca, who have the right to retain the player until August 21 if negotiations with PSG are not easy as the contract clearly stipulates, not to lose too much money. Paris would then have to negotiate with the player’s agent. But it is hard to imagine the PSG like the Dembélé clan doing this, especially since they are within their rights. In a weak position on this file, Barça, which should only recover 25 million euros, does not want to give up on the rest of the money. This percentage therefore poses a problem for the Culés who brandish the threat of appealing to justice. The divorce is consummated.
