In Marseille, the duel against PSG is much more than a match. It is a matter of honor, pride, and sometimes … badly placed pride. Despite two stinging defeats against Parisians this season (3-0 and 3-1), Roberto de Zerbi has chosen to play the spoilsports at a press conference. The Italian technician, however beaten on the ground, did not hesitate to tackle the Parisian project, while recognizing – reluctantly – certain qualities.
Without directly naming Nasser Al-KhelaĂŻfi, the Marseille coach targeted the financial and sporting hegemony of PSG:
“I am happy not to be part of the power team. In France, the classic is one -way … But OM remains the most important club in the country. »» An attack in reference to the last nine clashes, where Marseille only scored two goals. “If we call it a classic, it's difficult … We know we are inferior, but we fight”, he adds, while dreaming of an avenging “3-0”.
