OM know their first opponent in C1

Forced to go through the third preliminary round of the Champions League, OM are set on their first meeting of the season in C1.

On August 8 or 9, Marcelino’s men will go to Athens to challenge Panathinaikos, before returning to the Velodrome on August 15.

The Greeks got the better of Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk in the second preliminary round after a 1-3 first leg win in Kosice and a 2-2 draw on Tuesday night in Athens.

In the event of qualification, the Olympians will still have the dams to cross to join the group stage of the Champions League. This round will be played on August 22 and 23 and then the following week.
