The war between the LFP and Dazn seems to be finished. Since the main diffuser of Ligue 1 matches has settled the last due date, in the amount of 35 million euros, from TV rights to the professional football body, everything seems to have returned to order between the two parties. As a reminder, Dazn had refused to pay it, believing that the Ligue 1 clubs did not allow them to produce enough exclusive content.

The diffuser also refused to settle the 35 million judging that the LFP did not do it enough to fight against hacking. Indeed, only 500,000 subscriptions have been subscribed since the launch of Dazn in France. The majority of French football followers would view Ligue 1 matches illegally due, in part, at high launch prices.

Clubs committed to combating hacking

Since the reconciliation between Dazn and the LFP, efforts to cooperate between the two parties have been visible. Since Friday morning, Ligue 1 clubs have been publishing a message on social networks in order to raise awareness of piracy and push them to watch the matches in a legal manner.

The goal is to make supporters aware that hacking causes a lot of money to lose and undermines the economy of hexagonal football. It remains to be seen whether this campaign will convince recalcitrant supporters to take out a subscription.
