Ousmane Dembélé has asked Barça for permission to officially discuss with PSG.

The noose is tightening little by little. Ousmane Dembélé at PSG, the trend has never been so strong, the main interested party having himself asked FC Barcelona for permission to negotiate with the capital club. Until then, only the Parisian interest in the tricolor wisp had been signified. But the former Rennais was also and above all in talks with his leaders to extend his Catalan lease.

One year from the end of his contract, Ousmane Dembélé benefits from a release clause which this Monday at midnight will increase from 50 to 100 million euros. So the PSG is trying to speed up the maneuver to launch the process today and thus lock the French international at a lower cost. According to this procedure, the player himself must send an official letter to his club to open discussions – a step that the native of Normandy has therefore taken if we are to believe L’Equipe.

Paris for its part would have already prepared a contract of four to five years, advancing the rest on the question of the remuneration of the player with his advisers. The PSG offer would be significantly higher than that of the Catalans, around 500,000 euros more per month for the one Barça recruited from Dortmund in 2017 against 105 million euros – excluding bonuses. Recruiting such an element for only 50 million euros would be a real boon for the Parisians.
