The only scorer of FC Barcelona in Lisbon last week for a 1-0 victory against Benfica, Raphinha scored a double in the Blaugranas victory in the return match, Tuesday evening in Montjuïc (3-1). The Brazilian winger who passed by Rennes notably took advantage of the genius of Lamine Yamal to open the scoring (11th), before scoring the third Catalan goal in the face of unarken lisboes (42nd).

Not content with having scored 13 goals in Liga, Raphinha, who scored a superb tripled against Bayern during the first phase, is the top scorer in the LDC this season with 11 achievements, in front of Serhou Guirassy (before Lille-Dortmund on Wednesday evening). He simply becomes the Brazilian player to have scored the most goals in a season of the Champions League, as indicated by the X account Stats Foot.

Raphinha after Rivaldo and Kaka

Raphinha is ahead of a magnificent quintet of Auriverde cracks which scored 10 goals in a LDC season. Two Brazilian gold balloons are part of the list: Rivaldo, which marked 10 times with Barça during the 1990-2000 season (with two group phases), before elimination in the semi-finals in front of Valence, and Kaka, sparkling with AC Milan and which ends up lifting the Cup with the big ears at the expense of Liverpool (3-1).

We also find Mario Jardel, author of 10 goals with FC Porto in 1990-2000 (before an elimination in quarters against the same Valencian formation), Neymar, who scored his 10th goal during the coronation of Barça against Juventus in 2015 and, finally, Roberto Firmino in 2017-2018, who could not score 11th goal for Liverpool during a final Zinedine Zidane (3-1). The double gold balloon Ronaldo, legend of football, never won the C1 and only reached six goals in 2002-2003.
