It was the deadline set for Mbappé to activate the additional year present in his contract, but the 2018 world champion will not do so. It is also the date on which the former Monegasque must receive part of his loyalty bonus.
If Mbappé is still Parisian this Monday evening at midnight, he will receive 40 million euros out of the 80 million euros planned. PSG would like to skip this clause, judging that Mbappé does not really show “fidelity” in his behavior, but since the captain of the Blues has not committed any breach of his contract (he continues to affirm that he wants to stay at PSG), the club’s arguments may be admissible.
