UFO of the 2020 decade, Lamine Yamal was one of the great craftsmen of the European coronation of Spain last summer. However, history could have been very different, the young winger having long hesitated between Roja and Moroccan selection, where his father is from. In an interview with Spanish media Cadena Serthe former sports director of the Spanish Federation Albert Luque told the course of the negotiations between the Yamal clan and the Federation.

“The Moroccan coach came expressly and the Moroccan government tried to convince him and when we talked to him, he said to me: 'I want to be European champion, I receive pressures from all sides but I want to play for Spain”explained Albeert Luque, pressing the fact that the player's choice has always been Spain. A choice that was not obvious, the father of Barcelona who suffered a pressure for Lamine Yamal to play for the Atlas Lions. A paying choice, since Yamal is now European champion, and is one of the most unsightly executives in La Roja.
