A new UEFA report reveals the staggering cost of the Chelsea team, which is worth more than 1.6 billion euros. This huge figure exceeds that of Real Madrid, who had the previous most expensive team ever formed in 2020, his worth 1.12 billion pounds sterling.

In total, four teams in the report had workforce that cost more than a billion pound sterling: Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal. In addition, Liverpool, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Newcastle and West Ham all appear in the Top 20, the Hammers having somehow built a team that is more than that of Barcelona.

Chelsea also exceeds PSG

The pure financial power of the Premier League is underestimated by the fact that 60 % of the first 10 are English clubs. The only European clubs which appear in the top 10 in terms of the value of the workforce are Real Madrid, PSG, Juventus and Inter.

Next summer, we can expect new expenses from the Premier League. Last summer, the 20 clubs spent the astronomical sum of 2 billion pounds sterling.
