PSG-Liverpool controversy, the verdict falls!

There was the rant of Luis Campos at halftime, in the corridors of the Parc des Princes. But overall, Parisian players and staff, starting with Luis Enrique, took care not to speak of arbitration after their defeat against Liverpool (0-1) in the Champions League.

It is all in their honor, because there was clearly matter to discuss this action of the first period, where Ibrahima Konaté shakes up a Bradley Barcola who was going to goal. It was very limited, to formulate things as well. The referee Mr. Massa judged that the contact was lawful, and the Var did not contradict it. There could have been red card for French, and perhaps penalty for PSG.

Many Parisian supporters have expressed their anger, and it is difficult to throw the stone for them. On the other hand, some have found a way to see another scandal on the action of Harvey Elliott's goal. Based on stopped images or certain angles of view, several Internet users thought they saw a hand of Darwin Nunez.

PSG-Liverpool, the goal was valid

Launched by Alisson Becker, decidedly the man of the match, Darwin Nunez first wins his duel with Marquinhos, slightly unbalanced. The Uruguayan damps the ball from the upper shoulder (it is allowed), and then takes the leather to shift Harvey Elliott on its right.

At no time does Darwin Nunez touch the ball in the hand. We see it very clearly on the images relayed by Canal+, which were available from the evening of the meeting. The goal of Harvey Elliott was therefore indeed valid, there is no material to epilog. Too bad to invent a useless arbitral controversy thus, when there are enough acts of play to be discussed after each match, this PSG-Liverpool by being a new convincing example.
