A Madrid combat in the face of an intense real
Faced with a complete Real Sociedad and determined to shake up the Merengues, Carlo Ancelotti had chosen an eleven largely altered. Real Sociedad has tried to react, but has encountered a wall. Lunin released a new parade against Barrenetxea, while Tchouaméni cut a dangerous pass for Oyarzabal. The post even came to save the Madrilenians in the second half on a strike from Endrick which could have definitively seal the meeting.
Madrid in management, Real still alive
Ancelotti then opted for prudence at the end of the match by densifying his midfielder with the entrance to Alaba, making Tchouaméni back down and repositioning Bellingham above. Real Sociedad continued to push, but never really worrying a disciplined and compact Madrid block.
With this short but precious success, Real Madrid takes an option on the final, but Real Sociedad has not said its last word. Everything will be played at the Bernabéu, where the Basques will have to achieve a feat to overthrow the King of Spain.
