Mauricio Pocsettino is nostalgic. On the other side of the Atlantic, the current United States coach has not forgotten certain figures from Paris Saint-Germain, notably Marco Verratti. The midfielder of the Qatari club Al Arabi SC marked the history of the capital's club. His passage, between 2012 and 2023, also marked the spirits of Parisian supporters and his former Argentinian coach.

At the head of PSG from 2021 to 2022, Mauricio Pocsettino was won over by Marco Verratti. “A great player”,
he declared each time. A position that has not changed. Almost three years later, the former Paris coach showed himself, again, very complimentary to his former player.
“Marco Verratti?” The best player I saw in my life ”he said at Goal's microphone.

He finally has fun in Qatar

Starting from PSG in 2023, Marco Verratti left the Parisian club after 416 games, 11 goals in as many years and 61 assists. He is now evolving in the Qatari club Al Arabi SC and seems to be fulfilled there. At 32, the Italian is very convincing in his performances, with eleven matches in Stars League (first Qatari division), four goals and four assists and after contrasting beginnings.
