Nkunku started only three first division matches this season, but had a rare opportunity to impress against Brighton in the fourth round of the FA Cup, Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu being excluded due to injury. The 27-year-old missed the mark during a 2-1 defeat at the Amex Stadium.
