A new controversy which confirms that Spanish football is increasingly plagued by cases of racism, notably the Vinicius Jr case. After the meeting, Hansi Flick wanted to defend his player. “There is no place for that in football or in life, it’s incredible to still have to endure this in the times we live in, it’s totally unacceptable. These people should stay at home and we must fight against this. People around them should do something because it's unfair and disrespectful.”said the German technician while Barça quickly reacted to support the player. “There is no place for racism. We are 100% with you, Balde”wrote the Catalan club.
On the Getafe side, coach José Bordalás also wanted to speak out on the subject and asked La Liga to harshly punish the supporters concerned. “I didn't know that and I agree with what Flick said. I am against any comments, any racist chants, I totally agree, well, they should find them and take them out of the football fields, I have already said that several times”he explained. The referee of the match opened a protocol at half-time after Baldé's report confirms Mundo Deportivo. The rest of this story remains to be seen as these events become more and more numerous in Spain.
