The Allianz Stadium in Turin returned to an electric atmosphere this Saturday for the always-awaited clash: Juventus-Milan. An Italian classic, but also a duel between two giants in search of redemption. Under pressure after three games without a home win, Juventus knew that a fourth consecutive disappointment would be a first in 15 years.

A first period of tension and missed opportunities

The start of the meeting was marked by a fierce tactical battle. Milan, led by a fiery Théo Hernandez on their left flank, tried to break through a well-grouped Bianconera defense. In the 27th minute, Rafael Leao thought he would open the score after a confused move, but Di Gregorio won with a masterful save, saving his team from an almost inevitable goal.

On the other side, Juve responded with flashes of genius. In the 36th minute, Mike Maignan showed himself imperial by repelling a shot from Yildiz at point blank range. Milan held on, but we felt that the match could change at any moment.

Mbangula and Weah put on a show

The turning point came in the 59th minute, when Thiago Motta, criticized for his recent choices, saw his audacity rewarded. Samuel Mbangula, a young Belgian talent from the Turin training center, scored his first goal in Serie A with a slightly deflected cross shot. The luminous pass from González, who had launched it perfectly, was decisive. Maignan, although a hero until then, was unable to do anything.

Barely five minutes later, Timothy Weah struck in turn. Served by a precise opening from Khephren Thuram, the American winger played Tomori before deceiving Maignan with an unstoppable left shot. The son of George Weah, Milan legend, did not tremble against his father's club.

Milan helpless, Juventus on the podium

Despite desperate attempts at the end of the match, Milan never found the fault. Théo Hernandez increased the number of climbs, but without success. Sergio Conceição's team was too messy to hope to come back.

With this 2-0 victory, Juventus moved back to 4th place and remains undefeated this season. Milan, on the other hand, sinks into doubt with an unenviable 8th place. It is not this evening in Turin which will light up the Rossoneri season.
