The Professional Football League (LFP) and the National Directorate of Management Control (DNCG) under the control of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Qatar and PSG, this is the heavy implication dared by John Textor, the president of the OL, this week during a long interview given to RMC. The American boss, after criticizing the interference of his Parisian counterpart in the affairs of the League, then went so far as to doubt the independence of the financial policeman of French football.

A thesis supported by Daniel Riolo on the same radio waves, the person concerned having recalled Tuesday evening that Jean-Marc Mickeler, the president of the DNCG, was a big supporter of PSG, used to the basket of the Parc des Princes and close to him -even by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. His own daughter is also an employee of the capital club. This added to old gloomy tweets, against OL in particular, recently unearthed, the conspiracy theory inevitably gains momentum at a time when the Lyon club finds itself threatened with demotion by the Commission of Control of professional clubs.

“No one wants to offend Qatar”

For Daniel Riolo, Qatar’s influence on French football authorities is proven and growing. “ Nobody talks about it, because nobody wants to offend Qatar, there are too many things at stake! When we see that even a former president (Nicolas Sarkozy, editor’s note) eat from the bowl… », exclaims the willingly polemicist journalist.

A Daniel Riolo who does not hide being pressured, half-heartedly, for his clear-cut positions on PSG, his boss, and QSI. “ I get calls and they tell me to be careful what I say, not to go too hard because Qatar is dangerous », breathes this inveterate supporter of the capital club.
