It’s an open secret: Pierre Ménès has been a supporter of Paris Saint-Germain for many years. During his adolescence, this native of the capital was a season ticket holder at the Parc des Princes between 1977 and 1983, a period where Mustapha Dahleb, Carlos Bianchi and Safet Sušić were playing for the Rouge et Bleu.
Once he became a sports journalist specializing in football, “Pierrot” began to work closely with players. With some of them, he even formed bonds. But today,
PSG no longer makes it vibrate like before.
“Paris in a corner of my heart? This year no. I watch matches without passion, because I often get bored”he confesses on his YouTube channel.
Pierre Ménès nostalgic for certain PSG players
Pierre Ménès seemed to really appreciate the “bling-bling” PSG, whose
President Nasser al-Khelaïfi doesn’t want to hear any more. “The departure of Neymar was a pain for me. Then that of Mbappé, also Verratti or even Thiago Silva. There were so many players I was attached to at PSG. Today, it has become a club like any other,”
believes the former Canal+ employee.
Now away from television sets, since the broadcast in 2021 of the documentary directed by Marie Portolano, Pierre Ménès has not definitively cut the microphone. On his YouTube channel, the journalist continues to comment on and analyze sports news.
