Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has finally found a club that matches his talent and big ambitions.

Manchester United are close to reaching an agreement with Fiorentina for the transfer of Sofyan Amrabat, one of the main revelations of the last World Cup.

Amrabat to the Theater of Dreams

Manchester manager Erik ten Hag is a fan of the Moroccan international and he already sought to sign him last January. It didn’t happen but the Mancunians returned to the charge this summer and Gazzetta.it claim a deal worth €25m is close to being done.

Amrabat made it clear to Fiorentina management that he wanted the transfer to go through and the Viola board reluctantly agreed.

His older brother Nordin, who now plays at AEK, confirmed that Ten Hag is a big fan of Sofyan. He certainly knows him since their joint visit to the Eredivisie. When the Dutch coach led Ajax, the player distinguished himself on the side of Utrecht and Feyenoord.

If he signs in favor of MU, which is the strong trend at the moment, Amrabat will become the very first Moroccan player to wear the colors.
