It’s not a cultural revolution, but it remains an evolution. Historic lair of Real Madrid since 1947, the Santiago-Bernabéu Stadium (it was previously called “Nuevo Estadio Chamartínva”) will see its name changed. As revealed by the Madrid newspaper Marcathe part “Santiago», which corresponds to the first name of the eponymous Real Madrid legend, will be deleted.
The stadium should thus be called the “Bernabéu”, quite simply. According to Marcathis new naming is the result of a marketing operation carried out internally, by a management which wanted something more impactful, but without moving away from the culture and heritage which made this club.
