Olympique de Marseille could begin its winter transfer window with an unexpected operation.

Stuck in the Olympique de Marseille loft since last summer, Chancel Mbemba may be seeing the end of the tunnel. Despite his inactivity, the Congolese international defender has built a sufficiently solid reputation to maintain a good rating in France.

Direct consequence: Mbemba has several exit options to get back on track with his profession as a footballer. Stade Rennais was the first team to come forward.
FC Nantes is the second. According to information from the regional daily Ouest-France, the Canaries are close to completing this operation.

An unexpected outcome for OM

If Olympique de Marseille finalizes the departure of Chancel Mbemba, this outcome will remain a small surprise at this stage of the case. Not because the player wanted to stay – the defender has made up his mind for a long time and his relationship with management is conflicting. But because Mbemba, who benefits from monthly income in Marseille estimated at 320,000 euros, would make an effort on the financial level.

For its part, OM management would be willing to let their defender leave for compensation estimated at 3 million euros, according to Foot Mercato. To be continued…
