Jesús Navas (39 years old) played this Sunday, against Real Madrid, the last match of a long and rich career as a professional footballer. The one who only played for two clubs, Sevilla FC and Manchester City, therefore retired in the jersey of his training club in one of the most renowned venues in world football: the Santiago Bernabéu. The Spanish football legend, winner of two Euros (2012 and 2024) and a World Cup (2010) with La Roja, received a vibrant tribute from the Madrid public. Before himself sending a final farewell to the world of football on his social networks in a letter.
“The last day. Far from home, with my Sevilla and my supporters very present, my heart trembles harder than ever because of the affection I received at Nervión barely a week ago. And the love for my Sevilla FC makes me understand the reasons why my people love me so much.
