Liga: reduced to nine, Celta de Vigo wins in Las Palmas, Rayo comes out on top in Valladolid

In Balaidos, Celta de Vigo hosted Real Sociedad this Saturday, as part of the 18th day of La Liga. Initially hanging on, Claudio Giraldez’s men finally made the difference just before the break thanks to Pablo Duran, author of a quick double (40th, 45+1st).

Trailing by two goals at the break, the visitors tried to react after returning from the locker room, but came up against the well-established block of the Celta players. With this victory (2-0), Vigo moves up to 10th place with 24 points, one step less than Real Sociedad, seventh.
