Seeing Paul Pogba become an OM player in the coming days is not heresy.

Suspended four and a half years in September 2023 following a positive test for dehydroepiandrosterone, Paul Pogba saw his sanction reduced to eighteen months by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). The former Juventus Turin player will officially be able to return to competition next March.

This Wednesday morning, Pablo Longoria responded to the rumors sending the French international to Olympique de Marseille. “People talk to me more about Paul than about the results. He is an extraordinary player and person. I had the pleasure of sharing time with him at Juve, and Medhi Benatia also has a very good relationship with him. But there is currently no discussion, replied the Spanish leader. We want to have an internal meeting this week to clearly set the objectives of the transfer window. Paul is a world-class player, we have to analyze the file because he is on the market,” declared the president of the Marseille club at a press conference.

Pogba, Longoria leaves room for hope

Pablo Longoria still leaves the door ajar for the possible arrival of Pogba. “There is always pleasure in seeing great players evolve under our colors, like Adrien Rabiot or Pierre-Emile Højbjerg,
underlines the 38-year-old leader. However, there is no ongoing discussion with Paul, no decision made yet. I’m not closing the door because he’s on the market, but it creates a news bubble around Paul. These are more speculations and dreams than reality. »

On November 15, Juventus announced that they had reached an agreement with Paul Pogba to terminate his contract. Since November 30, the 2018 world champion is officially no longer a player of the Old Lady.
