Olympique de Marseille continues to structure its organization chart. This Monday, the Marseille club formalized the arrival of Lassad “Titou” Hasni as new director of the training center, a few hours after the announcement of the departure of Yann Danielou, former occupant of the position.
Return of a familiar face to OM
Already well known in the region, Lassad Hasni is no stranger to OM. An experienced trainer, he held the position of coach of the U17s and the Marseille reserves between 2019 and 2022. More recently, he was director of pre-training at OGC Nice, where he contributed to the development of young talents.
In its press release, the Olympian club praised its versatile profile: “Both a man in the field and a fine teacher, Lassad ‘Titou’ Hasni has led a dual career as an educator and professor of history and geography during his professional career. Also a BMF and BEF trainer at the Mediterranean Football League, he has many assets to contribute to the technical and human development of players passing through the Olympian Training Center, a strategic issue within the framework of the club’s sporting project.
Cascading changes
This appointment comes in a turbulent context for the Marseille training center. Marco Otero, technical director in charge of this structure since 2022, would also be leaving. The Spanish technician, isolated in his functions and faced with internal tensions, should leave his responsibilities soon.
These adjustments underline the importance for OM to redefine its training strategy, a key element in supplying the first team with local talent and being part of a sustainable sporting project.
