Despite the historic rivalries between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, Gerard Piqué and Vinicius Junior join forces to develop the Kings League in Brazil. A discreet meeting recently took place in Madrid to discuss this audacious project, as revealed by Spanish media Relevo.
A strategic meeting for expansion in Brazil
The meeting between the former Barcelona defender and the Real Madrid winger took place in the chic Salamanca district of Madrid, at the restaurant Amazonico. Piqué, via his company Kosmos, wishes to establish a Brazilian version of the Kings League, a 7-on-7 indoor football championship. According to information, Vinicius Junior would have a promotional role, notably in the “Loud” team, although he will not participate as a player.
However, an image rights problem forced the organizers to review the use of the figure of Vinicius in advertising campaigns. Despite everything, the Brazilian player remains involved in the project, which also includes major figures like Neymar and Kaka.
