Hugo Ekitike lives again at Eintracht Frankfurt after having experienced an ordeal at Paris Saint-Germain. Recruited by the capital club in 2022 in exchange for around thirty million euros, the Reims striker has never established himself with the Rouge et Bleu. Worse, after a first season with 32 appearances, Ekitike was put on the shelf from the start of the 2023/2024 season, before leaving Paris for Frankfurt during the winter of 2024. But in an interview given to Eurosportthe international Espoirs tricolor claims to have learned from his time in the capital.
“I am a human being. I always question myself when things don’t go well. But I think I was built well. I have good people around me who support me. I maintained the level of confidence necessary to be able to start again, even when I was at my lowest, even when I felt like I no longer existed. I refocused on what I needed to do. And I left determined to show that I exist”he declared, before indicating what he had learned from his time at PSG. “Patience, resilience. Know how to cash in. Learn to handle criticism. What I hadn’t known before playing for Paris. It’s a training in my life as a man”.
