FC Barcelona appear to be on the verge of solving the financial puzzle surrounding the permanent registration of Dani Olmo. A situation that has been causing concern for several months.
“We have everything in hand,” reassures Deco
Before Barça’s victory against Borussia Dortmund (3-2), Deco, sporting director of the club, spoke about the case of the former Leipzig player: “Yes, I’m sure we can register it, we have everything in hand… rest easy.” This statement is intended to be reassuring as Olmo’s current contract only allows him to play until December 31 in La Liga, in the absence of a definitive registration.
Javier Tebas, president of La Liga, also shared his optimism: “I sincerely hope that Barcelona achieves this. It would be for the best. In the end, Barça always manages to integrate its players.”
A controlled but delicate situation
To register Dani Olmo, recruited for 55 million euros from Leipzig, Barcelona must overcome financial fair play constraints. Catalan leaders say they have a plan in place, but the room for maneuver remains narrow. If this file is successful, Dani Olmo, already the author of promising performances with six goals this season, will be able to continue to shine in the Blaugrana jersey.
