FC Barcelona faces a worrying situation regarding Dani Olmo, one of its key attacking midfielders. Despite his convincing performances since his arrival from RB Leipzig for 60 million euros, the Spanish international is still not permanently registered in the Blaugrana squad for La Liga, relays A.S..
A provisional license that expires soon
Author of 6 goals in 12 matches, Dani Olmo was able to make himself indispensable under the orders of Hansi Flick, even after an injury which kept him on the sidelines for several weeks. However, its provisional registration, obtained in August through complex administrative procedures, expires on December 31. Without a quick solution, he will be ineligible for La Liga until 2025.
An urgent problem to resolve for Barça
Internally, Barça remains confident and is exploring several options, including a new agreement with Nike or external investments, to unblock the situation. However, the pressure is mounting, because such an inconvenience could cost the club dearly in its fight for the title. If management does not find a solution, this could mark a serious setback for the club and for Dani Olmo, who is nevertheless gaining momentum.
