Mathys Tel, the French striker of Bayern Munich, could leave the club in January on loan, after a disappointing first half of the season. Although he showed promising flashes last year, this season, Tel has only played nine matches (including three as a starter), suggesting difficulties in establishing himself in Vincent Kompany’s system.

A difficult start to the season at Bayern

The young prodigy, aged just 18, failed to secure a place in the starting team, despite high expectations surrounding his potential. However, he was given the opportunity to start in the Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund, a sign that Kompany still has some confidence in him. However, his performances have been far from convincing, and it seems that Bayern are ready to let him go on loan to gain playing time.

Fierce competition for Mathys Tel

Several European clubs have positioned themselves for a loan of the French striker, including La Liga and the Premier League. Valencia, who are struggling at the bottom of the La Liga table, are seriously considering bringing in Tel for the second half of the season. However, Los Ché will face strong competition from clubs such as Villarreal, Nottingham Forest, and Crystal Palace, who are also looking to strengthen their offensive line.

Mathys Tel’s next choice could prove crucial for his progress. A well-negotiated loan could be the key to his development and his future at Bayern Munich.
