Active in the direction of arrivals, OM will have to part with certain players to balance their accounts…

The balance of transfers made by OM since the start of this summer transfer window is currently negative. If the Marseille leaders have so far recovered 16 million euros thanks to the departures of Luis Suarez (Almeria), Arkadiusz Milik (Juventus) and Nemanja Radonjic (Torino), they have spent twenty more. And the slate could still climb since Ismaïla Sarr (Watford) would be on the way to joining the other recruits, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Renan Lodi and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

To balance his books, Olympian President Pablo Longoria should therefore be forced to part with certain players. Because he has value on the market, Mattéo Guendouzi has long been announced as a potential starter, but it is another member of the workforce now coached by Marcelino who could finally pack up. According to journalist Abdellah Boulma, Cengiz Ünder would thus be in the sights “many clubs, including Premier League teams”.

With Ciel et Blanc since 2021, definitively sold by AS Roma last summer for 8 million euros, the Turkish international winger (26) is under contract with OM until 2025 and has a good rating, around 20 million euros according to the specialized site Transfermarkt. The probable signing of Ismaïla Sarr, who plays in the same position as him, risks weakening his status within the Marseille team. A departure could then do the business of the club as well as the player.
