Mired in a severe sporting crisis, after the demotion from Ligue 2 to National 2 last summer, the Girondins de Bordeaux must also deal with the problems of violence among their supporters. The latter once again crossed the red line during Bordeaux-Stade Briochin (0-0).

On the sidelines of this meeting of the 12th day of N2, members of the North Gate and the Ultramarines faced each other on Saturday evening around an hour before kick-off around Matmut Atlantique. The police intervened using tear gas, specifies Southwest.

10 points behind the leader

A priori, the Ultramarines had tried to prevent the North Gate from entering the stadium… Finally, everyone returned to their stands around ten minutes after the start of the match. These images recall the violence between these two groups of Girondin supporters last March during the Ligue 2 match against the Paris Football Club (PFC).

โ€œThe Club reaffirms its opposition to all forms of violence and its deep commitment to the values โ€‹โ€‹of sport. Today, such incidents cannot constitute a fatalityโ€the club reacted in particular to the scapular in a press release. To return to football, the Girondins de Bordeaux occupy 6th place in the ranking with 28 points, 10 points than the leader, Saint-Malo.
