Barça has again won in the Spanish championship. Out at Betis de Sevilla, the Catalan team was unable to win even though they led the score on two occasions.
The Blaugrana came up against a very eye-catching Andalusian team. Robert Lewandowski, on an excellent pass from Jules Koundé (39e). Then, Ferran Torres scored the 2e at 82e. But it wasn’t enough to win.
Barça does not learn its lessons
The locals first equalized by Giovani Lo Celso on a penalty (68e) then through Assane Diao (94e). The latter ensured parity just before the final whistle. Hansi Flick, the Barcelona coach, had something to enrage from the stands. The German coach was sent off by the referee for protesting.
With this poor performance, Barça continues to mark time in La Liga. In its last five domestic outings, the Catalan team has only won once. It remains in the lead, with five points ahead of Real, but its leading position is strongly threatened because its pursuers have two games in hand.
