Former Real Madrid legend Pedrag Mijatovic has not minced his words about Kylian Mbappé. In an interview at the
Cadena Serthe former Merengues striker suggested a radical solution to help the French international regain his serenity: leave him on the bench for certain matches.
Despite his 10 goals in 20 appearances this season, Mbappé is criticized for his performances considered insufficient and his recent failures, notably two missed penalties against Liverpool and Bilbao. According to Mijatovic, the striker is going through a period of intense pressure and anxiety linked to his desire to establish himself as a superstar. He believes that the team must not adapt to Mbappé, but that the latter must learn to respond to the unique requirement of Real Madrid.
