Kane, Vlahović, Højlund, Mbappé… The incredible domino effect that is brewing in the attacking market

All the spotlights are on these great European strikers and heavyweight clubs in the footballing landscape: Harry Kane, Dušan Vlahović, Rasmus Højlund and many other scorers. Yet as the end of July approaches, no real offensive big names have moved from these teams. Several arrivals are well advanced but not yet fully completed despite positive negotiations between the parties involved. But then why all this noise for so little formalization? So already, the transactions are so important, often approaching 90/100 million euros, that it is complicated to lock files quickly. But above all, many clubs finally have verbal agreements with the players in question and are waiting carefully for the first offensive signing to come through.

A domino effect therefore where all the rumors and other green lights of principles could cease immediately in the event of a single and unique reversal of the situation in the clubs concerned such as Tottenham, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and to a lesser extent Benfica, Chelsea or Atalanta. All these teams are linked – directly or indirectly – on several intersecting files. From the rumored Harry Kane at Bayern to that of Rasmus Højlund at Manchester United. Everything can still evolve in the coming hours and the situation of Kylian Mbappé at PSG, with his exclusion from the Parisian group for the tour in Japan, could well have a close impact on these other files which punctuate the summer market.

Harry Kane spearheaded

It’s the eternal summer rumor. But where will Harry Kane play next year? Bayern Munich continue to make the British striker their top attacking priority during this summer transfer window. The Bavarian management wants to put pressure on Tottenham who would still claim an amount around 100 million euros. According to information from the English daily The Times, the German champions are preparing a third offer to Spurs to convince them to definitively let go of Harry Kane in Munich. Moreover, Katie Kane, the wife of the English player, was seen on the side of Grünwald, in the suburbs of Munich where she would have started steps to find a school and a house.

Everything seems to be off to a good start today for the signing of the Englishman, still under contract with Tottenham until June 2024. However, several signals can still interfere with this file, considered to be the first domino to fall for the waltz of the big attackers in Europe this summer. First, Spurs would still like to retain their star striker and have already refused two Bavarian offers, ie €70m + bonus and €80m + bonus. Then, Paris Saint-Germain does not want to let go of the matter, as we revealed to you exclusively this week. According to our information, the Parisian management hopes to convince the Englishman and send an offer that Tottenham cannot refuse.

Dušan Vlahović waiting for the green light

Here is another attacker who is attracting envy in Europe, especially since Juventus confirmed through their new sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli that the Old Lady needed to sell and that she was ready to listen to offers for Federico Chiesa, Gleison Bremer but especially Dušan Vlahović. As we revealed to you, PSG remains confident in the Serbian striker’s file since an agreement has already been reached with the 23-year-old player on a five-year contract for an annual salary around 11 million gross (a little over 9 million net), accompanied by numerous bonuses on the number of goals scored and games played. A sale that could allow the Bianconeri to lock in the signing of Romelu Lukaku.

But in this file too, certain complexities are added to it. Because Tottenham, according to our first exclusive information, had checked the name of the former Fiorentina striker in the event of departure. And if the expensive sale of Kane for Bayern were to be recorded, it is not impossible to see Spurs return to the charge for Vlahović, especially since the Serb had already expressed his desire to play in the Premier League a few years ago. Another scenario to bypass PSG: the Bavarians could set their sights on the Serb if the Harry Kane file is officially set aside. Other clubs like Real Madrid or Chelsea had also been linked, for a time, to the Juventus striker. The Serbian is waiting to see the first domino – Harry Kane – fall to clear up his future.

PSG and the alternatives

With the departure of Lionel Messi and the soap opera around Kylian Mbappé, Paris Saint-Germain would certainly be an obvious candidate on the attacking market in Europe. But with all the twists and turns that revolve in the Madrid future of the native of Bondy, the place of PSG is increasing in this transfer window for the attackers. And unlike other clubs, the Parisians are mentioned in different profiles. The first names mentioned were Victor Osimhen (Napoli), Harry Kane (Tottenham) and Randal Kolo-Muani (Frankfurt). The Nigerian has entered negotiations with the Partenopei for a contract extension and president Aurelio De Laurentiis remains greedy to sell his star striker. The Briton remains mainly focused on calls from the Bavarian foot, while the Frenchman is currently still in Frankfurt despite sirens from Manchester United and reminders from Paris.

In this sense, the Parisian management had to fall back on several B plans which therefore come to stick to this huge market of scorers. In its second list of targets, PSG aimed Gonçalo Ramos (Benfica), João Félix (Atlético) and Dušan Vlahović (Juventus). If an agreement has been reached with the Serb, the two Portuguese tracks are treading water for the moment, even if a Parisian offer of 70 million would have been submitted to Benfica according to information from the Portuguese daily. Record. And finally, the Danish nugget Rasmus Højlund (Atalanta), yet given to Manchester United for several months, is in the sights of PSG. Moreover, the Italian newspaper of the Gazzetta dello Sport does not mince his words and even speaks of a double arrival in the event of Mbappé’s departure: not impossible to see Højlund disembark accompanied by a Vlahovic or Ramos for example according to the Italian press. With urgent attacking needs, PSG are becoming, day after day, one of the most important protagonists in this game of musical chairs.
